Hi, I'm Han. Registered nutritionist (RNutr), GB and Scotland lacrosse player, and the gal behind Nutrition by Han.

I've been competing internationally for over 10 years, so I get what it's like to be an active girly who pushes hard and expects a lot from her body. I also know what it's like when that same body starts sending you signals you don't want to hear.

My own run-in with hypothalamic amenorrhea started in 2022, during training for the World Cup. I was exhausted, constantly picking up injuries, losing speed I'd spent years building. My libido went. I felt flat and disconnected, like I was just going through the motions. Honestly? I felt meh about everything.

The missing period? I kept brushing it off. It wasn't until an injury stopped me in my tracks that I actually joined the dots. That "irregular cycle" I'd been ignoring was a massive warning sign. And I think on some level I already knew I was running myself into the ground.

Going through recovery was one of the most important things I've ever done. Not just for my health, but for how I see my body, how I eat, how I train, and how I feel in my own skin. It shifted something in me that I genuinely didn't expect.

That experience, alongside 6 years of clinical work and a background in sport science and performance nutrition, is what I bring to every client I work with. I help active women get their periods back, but it goes deeper than that. We work on your relationship with food, with exercise, and with your body. A lot of women I work with come in exhausted and at war with themselves, and they leave feeling genuinely confident and at ease. That part matters just as much to me as the clinical stuff.

I use a 5-pillar framework that I tailor completely to you, because there's no version of this that works if it doesn't fit your actual life.

And just so we're clear: recovery doesn't have to be miserable. It can actually be enjoyable and a unique opportunity to learn more about yourself on this journey together!
